Spotlight on ACRP

Agilutions is pleased to have recently begun work with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP).

Our project began with a design effort supporting ACRP’s move to the netFORUM 2014 version of eWeb.  By upgrading to the new version, they’ll be able to update their interface and leverage the new look and feel that baseline netFORUM has to offer.  A large part of the eWeb build out will be the Certification Application and Management processes. Other eWeb elements being designed are new Create Account, Member Join, Event Registration, and Online Join processes.

We will look to begin post-design development in April.

Spotlight on AAFP

Agilutions recently worked with long-time netFORUM client, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) to identify areas where AAFP can move their customizations back to a more baseline-centric solution using netFORUM’s out-of-the box functionality. After hearing a presentation by Agilutions at AUDC in 2013, AAFP reached out to Agilutions to provide an outside view of their customizations and make suggestions for areas where Baseline netFORUM could be leveraged.

During this effort, Agilutions engaged with AAFP’s netFORUM power users as they presented their customizations and helped to identify areas where baseline netFORUM could be leveraged.

In November 2014, Agilutions’ Stephen Spruce and Barb Kilzer traveled onsite to AAFP’s offices in Kansas City, MO to conduct a “Back to Baseline” workshop with AAFP’s core netFORUM team. During the two-day workshop, Agilutions reviewed baseline processes, weighing the pros and cons of each item that could potentially leverage baseline. The effort proved to be very successful for both teams, as there were several areas of baseline netFORUM that AAFP will look to roll back to baseline.

Barb proudly shared, “This effort was a great example of Agilutions’ passion for helping clients leverage their netFORUM investment as much as possible. AAFP has an incredibly talented staff who has taken ownership of the system and are true experts in expanding it to meet their business needs. With an upgrade on the horizon, AAFP saw this as the perfect time to pull in an outside expert to view of their customizations and use of the system. After this workshop with the AAFP team, we could feel the excitement around many of the newer functionalities of netFORUM that were presented that AAFP is looking to leverage.”

Great work, AAFP team!

Description: Let’s face it, we all have issues…. If you are a professional issue-submitter to Abila or to your Abila Partner, you could be the next ISSUE IDOL!

If you can say “yes” to any of these, come ready to participate and learn our tips and tricks for submitting informative, high-quality support issues.

This will be a fun and interactive session in which you can practice presenting your new tools (via a sample issue) to a panel of Idol judges…and perhaps be THE WINNER!

ICE Exchange Recap

We’ve just returned home from the annual ICE Exchange conference in San Antonio and are feeling energized!  The sessions were interesting, conversations were great–and Stephen Spruce led a well-attended Solutions Showcase where he demoed the Credentialing Engine.  Stay tuned for lots more on the Credentialing Engine in 2015!

AUG Colorado Chapter

Today, Agilutions was proud to sponsor and host the first-ever Colorado Chapter meeting for AUG (Abila Users Group).  It was a great way for us to connect with Abila users nationwide and raise the bar for our work with netFORUM.  Look for more meetings to come in 2015!

Revving up for 2014 ICE Exchange

With just 2 weeks to go before 2014 ICE Exchange in San Antonio, we have been busy working with Abila to put the finishing touches on our booth and product demo.  If you’ll be at ICE Exchange this year, please stop by our booth (#32)–and be sure to attend our Solutions Showcase on Thursday where we’ll be demonstrating the Credentialing Engine™ in action!

Here’s an overview:

The Credentialing Engine empowers credentialing organizations to advance their missions, improve customer service, and increase application enrollment and renewals.

Certification is more than just the exam:

By incorporating essential steps such as application eligibility, exam registration, recertification and reinstatements, the Credentialing Engine can enable you to effectively and efficiently manage the entire lifecycle of your customers, from graduation to retirement.

Put the customer back into certification

The Credentialing Engine provides essential tools to humanize the certification process for your customers, and communicate in a way that makes sense to them. You’ll both benefit from features such as targeted marketing, online social communities and increased customer self-service, among many others.

Don’t miss this dynamic demonstration of how the Credentialing Engine can power your certification program.

Spotlight on HRMA

This year, we have been fortunate to work closely with the Vancouver-based Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) on a multi-tiered project. We began in February with general consulting and training to ensure that HRMA was getting the most out of netFORUM’s functionality. Then in the summer we kicked off our modifications by creating a process to import certification exam score data into netFORUM, which enabled it to be more closely tied to their certification data. We also brought their system into compliance with a new Canadian law that required that their email marketing be opt-in only, while also exposing more information on their eWeb site, allowing members to self-select their email preferences. Finally, we re-branded their netFORUM eWeb site for a customized and cohesive user experience.

Kudos to our Solutions Coaches and the team at HRMA for collaborating on a great project!

NBCC is live!

We are pleased to announce that our netFORUM implementation for NBCC went live on Monday with great enthusiasm.  Abila was blown away by our enhancements and felt certain that a great deal of these customizations would solve a number of client needs.  During the mock go live, the NBCC staff was excited to see the system improvements and greatly anticipated its July 14 launch.

Through this project, we developed a certification solution for NBCC that will streamline its complex business practices, greatly reduce the paper application process, and improve the user experience by allowing them to enter their application data online.  This will reduce not only the time required for an applicant to apply but also staff data entry time.  Additionally, the new site gives applicants a centralized “CE Warehouse” to enter all of their continuing education.

Our client was thrilled to share the positive feedback they received from one of the site’s first users: “O my goodness, this website is FANTASTIC!  VERY user friendly, I am having a blast.”  (K.A., Gateway Community College).

Great work, NBCC team!

Project highlights: NBOA

We thought we’d share some highlights of our recent netFORUM implementation for NBOA.

In 2011-2012, we had the pleasure of working with NBOA in building out their e-web and three event registration flows.  Earlier this year, NBOA engaged us again to redesign their members-only site, incorporating the design elements from their newly-updated public website, and build out their quick menu.  The result was a more contemporary, streamlined interface and a seamless user experience across the two sites.

The project went extremely smoothly, and in six weeks we took the site live on time, under budget, and to the great satisfaction of our client and its users–a “project trifecta” in Agilutions terms.  Nicely done, team NBOA!

Agilutions panel discussion at AUDC14

We hope everyone at AUDC14 will attend our panel session: “You had me at Baseline! Rolling back customizations to better leverage netFORUM Baseline Functionality.” The session will take place on Monday, March 3 from 11am-12pm in Salon 1. Monica Dillingham from NACUBO will be joining us on the panel, and together we’ll show how we’ve turned complicated customizations into simplified baseline solutions, saving netFORUM users time and money.

2013 ICE Exchange

We’re just a few days away from the 2013 ICE Exchange on Nov. 11-14!  If you’ll be at the conference, be sure to join Agilutions and Avectra for two presentations that will help you take your certification process management technology to the next level.

Tues. Nov. 12, 4:30-5pm (Amelia 1 Room):   LEARNING LOUNGE

In this brief presentation, we will share a technical take on how technology best practices can solve common challenges with certification process management.

Wed. Nov 13, 5-6pm (Ossabaw Room):  SOLUTIONS SHOWCASE

Join us as we tackle the challenge of reintroducing customer service back into how you do business.  In this demonstration, we will highlight the advantages of Avectra’s netFORUM as a CRM, walk through an online application for certification, track an applicant’s progress towards earning a certification, and report the different types of continuing education used for certification maintenance.

Hope to see you in Amelia Island next week.

Stephen Spruce & Dirk Behrends to speak at ASAE 2013

We are pleased to announce that Agilutions Co-Founder/CTO Stephen Spruce will be participating in a panel discussion with Avectra’s Dirk Behrends at the ASAE 2013 Annual Meeting & Expo in Atlanta.  Their discussion will be a Learning Lab entitled The Business of Certification: Engage Certificants to Grow Your Program on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 3:15-4:30 PM.

For a preview, ASAE has recently published an article called 3 Forces That Are Disrupting Certification Programs.  In it, Spruce and Behrends contend that one disruptive force is competition from more nimble organizations.  In response, it is important to stay relevant and competitive by understanding how your industry or profession is evolving—for example, through market studies, which can reveal insights, needs and sources of new candidates.  Second is the desire of today’s candidates for immediate gratification.  To capture those reluctant to make the investment in a multi-year certification program, they recommend expanding your reach and pipeline by offering introductory micro-credentials—which also serves to strengthen the value of the full certification.  Third is the disruptive force of poor data management.  Instead of keeping certification and membership data separate, look at your customers holistically to fully understand their engagement levels, maximize your marketing investment, and ensure you’re targeting the right audience.

For ASAE members, here is the link to read the full article:

And for all attending ASAE in August, be sure to attend the Business of Certification Learning Lab to maximize the potential of your certification program.

AUDC 2013

Has it already been a week since we were at AUDC 2013 in Orlando?  Looking back, our team felt that the entire netFORUM community truly “raised the bar” this year.   With a record-breaking turnout, the conference couldn’t have delivered more for team Agilutions.  We  met interesting new people, reconnected with many others, and learned a great deal from the sessions we attended.  Our own two sessions (Project Management-Parenting Style with Keith and Managing Chapter and Regional Registration with Stephen/Barb) received great attendance and feedback as well, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience overall.

For those who were unable to attend, we thought we would share Avectra’s highlights video.  ‘Til next time!

Welcome Trent Johnson and Rick Giampietro

Agilutions is pleased to have welcomed two new software developers to our team.  Trent Johnson joined us on December 3 with an expertise in web development and a natural curiosity for using technology to solve business problems.  Rick Giampietro, who began on January 20, is a true left brain/right brain creative thinker who combines his experience in software and web development with a BFA in English (fiction writing) with minors in philosophy and religious studies.  We’re happy to strengthen our team with the additions of Trent and Rick and hope you’ll have a chance to meet them soon!

Ho ho ho!  We at Agilutions have been thinking about Christmas early this year, having just wrapped up our gifts for 2 families we’ve “adopted” through the Salvation Army. Members of our staff have thoughtfully picked out clothing, toys and grocery gift cards, ensuring that their holidays are merry and warm.  We’re very proud of the generosity of our team this season… thank you all.
